Energy Production for Bennion Learning Center at 3337 W and 3361 W 6200 South, Taylorsville, UT 84129 Bennion Learning Center installed solar panels on its first building in 2011 and on its second building in 2012. Installing solar panels as part of our overall reduction in energy consumption demonstrates BLC’s investment in caring for our earth and the future of our children through decreasing pollution. Each year BLC produces over 12 Megawatt hours of electricity, helping reduce our energy costs to keep child care costs as low as feasible. This also contributes significantly to decreasing air pollution in the Salt Lake Valley and reducing the need for building larger and highly inefficient systems of electrical transport from extensive distances.
